Specialist Signposting Network

Apply to join the AFSSA Specialist Signposting Network

AFSSA is building a national network of specialist organisations that may be signposted to customers where an assessment identifies an issue requiring further action.

We are currently looking to connect with credible organisations operating across the UK in specialist floor-related services.

Specialist areas

Areas we are currently looking to connect with

Specialist hygiene and commercial deep cleaning

Stair nosings, trims and edge protection

Slip resistance testing

Entrance matting systems

Flooring repairs and remedial works

Subfloor preparation and remediation

Moisture testing and damp-proofing solutions

Wet-area and drainage-related solutions

Accessibility-related floor solutions

Other relevant specialist services

This list is not exhaustive. Organisations providing other relevant specialist services are welcome to apply.

How the network works

A signposting network, not an approval scheme

  1. 1

AFSSA may identify a concern during an assessment.

  2. 2

Where specialist support may be appropriate, AFSSA can signpost the customer towards relevant independent providers.

  3. 3

The customer remains completely free to choose whether to use a signposted provider or appoint another organisation.

  4. 4

Applications to the network are reviewed by AFSSA before acceptance.

  5. 5

Inclusion in the signposting network does not make the organisation an AFSSA assessor, agent or representative.

AFSSA assessments remain independent of any organisation providing remedial works or specialist services. Signposting does not affect the findings or outcome of an AFSSA assessment.

Application

Applications are reviewed by AFSSA. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the network.
